The Garden was designed in consultation with Indigenous Elders and others to foster an environment of inclusion, create dialogue, and provide opportunity for horticultural therapy. Central to the Garden is a carved cedar turtle, which is meant to remind visitors to think about the importance of truth and reconciliation.
